No Woolly Backs for us!

We had our names down for the Woolly backs event today, Dumpster was getting very excited about it but then the Friday night weather call . No Woolly back this year.

We checked the weather out this morning and decided White Sheet would be the order of the day.

This is Mark Trebles new toxic. He has only had it a week . Looks stunning and flies pretty well too. Dad John preparing for launch.

This is Geoffs Energic. The picture doesn't do the brightness of those wings justice. Probably around 2.5 metres and bought from T9 Hobbysport. This glider is built very well and flies great. Could be one for my shopping list

Me and the boy sporting our new £7 ski goggles from ALDI. These are life savers for eyes on windy days

Graham returning from another successful sortie with his Baudis Cyril.  Everything about that glider looks 'right'

Robs  Rotmilan. This is similar to Triggers broom. Its had a new fuselage, new tail feathers and a new canopy and yet its the same glider ??.

What can I say. Me and Rob feeling charitable coincided with one of Dave's day release days, so we felt it was the right thing to do to give him a call and take him out. We had him back to the home in time for tea.

Now for a quick sum up video of the day using some new fangled effects from Dumpsters camera. Volume up !!!

Happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas everyone... well i hope every one got what they wanted. Personally i was after a JR 2.4 transmitter system, or i would even suffer a Graupner MC20 2.4. Well you wont believe it, i had a pressie exact right dimensions, it was to good to be true.... and it was to good to be true, OH well!

Martin was hoping for a sense of humour, quite frankly we all were! alas this was not to be either... so another year of ginger retardness unfortunately. The Zumerzet Guys all have TBS discovery Quads to build, Bobster from England's Hemorrhoid has a Willow to rebuild after an unfortunate accident on the Bill. Rumpster has a bumper batch of bog roll for xmas so he's happy as a pig in shit... well a pig that can clean himself up that is!

SlopeJunkies has almost been going a year, we hope 2013 will be as much fun as this year, Martin is desperate to do well in F3F bless him, i cant wait to try out my new long range UHF radio, FPV quad flying might take the spot light i predict, as well as more trips to the bill.

Anyways i got this for xmas.. built it and now wondering what to do with it. Super glue is amazing stuff. Got some funny tissue in the box, instructions cant be right said something about covering it in tissue.....  Also mentioned dope?!! I called Martin, he's a dope, thought he would know.

Pretty little thing, might jam so radio gear in it!

 Merry Christmas

Rob

Ballistic Bill

Sorry for late posting.. this is what happened last Sunday. With 40mph winds Portland Bill had to be the place... Bobster said it would be Epic, he was not wrong. After repairing my Rotty i was a little apprehensive however it did not take me long to stress test the glider. With 1.7kg's of ballast on board, you could say that it was fun!!

I have no idea who these people are, i think day release from a special place on the Bill. TWATS.

Unfortunately i did not video the Bobster throwing his Willow around.. as usual he had us scared for our lives, one wing servo gave up in protest mid flight however this did not stop him...

You can see a dot in the middle... this is the LONG walk of shame for the Bobster.... we sniggered like school boys.

What else can you do with a Hobbyking speed gun... incidentally fastest time of the day was me 134mph, it is a little sensitive, i clocked a piece of grass doing 90!!! now wheres my head gone?

Thanks again Bobster and Mike for a brilliant day.... we will be back!

Mid week afternoon off work

Popped out mid week for a quick fly at Westbury. Dumpster was around but was unable to fly his needle 124 as he has a dodgy MKS servo in this as well as a dodgy MKS servo in his Aris. He did however have his new ASW something, I think he said 19

A quick vid of his first flight and me doing a few laps with the Fosa. All the while Rob was sweating it away in his office blowing up balloons

Enjoy

What a bunch of C......................

I get to Westbury White Horse at or around 1300 hours.... Rumpsters MKS servo has packed up again on the Aris so no flying! These MKS problems starting to worry me..... Martin looks dejected because he's forgotten his wing joiner the twat! I Look at the dark skies and the fact i will be billy no mates again make the decision to go and watch the rugby!

But anyways here's a video of some FPV QuadZilla flying in the morning. Very cold, but beautiful morning!

Getting there with the stabilisation, no Jello this time, still some work to do. I think one of the motor shafts is bent causing vibration, doing the laser/mirror balancing over the next few days... Quadzilla though goes from strength to strength.

Getting complicated in there..

Sorry no slopes today..
