The Baudis Bananananananana... its yellow and looks a bit like a particular fruit that i cant quite put my finger on... This is my second, no wait third... no deffo second one. Flies on flys fart and has the slope cred of giant gold medallion.. conversation goes:
Me: Hi mate what you flying?
Other: Oh a really nice flyfly asw15b and another flying turdbox, how about you?
Me: Nothing really, just my Baudis BANANA!
Other: No way, you are like God, i worship you.... can i lick your toe!
It has some serious slope cred the Banana and i can see why, outlandish looks that just work (think Alien monster was based on it) and goes really well! Possibly RG15 and an early Baudis model. The bigger brother was the Trinity that never really caught on over here. I had one once and that broke easily too. There were rumors that the original moulds for the Banana were destroyed in a huge accident involving spray cream and KY jelly.
If you can get one that's undamaged then its not left the ground, and that's the problem with the banana. quite weak all over. I can not speak about the crazy banana that was all carbon but not seen many of them so can only assume the same! The first one i had used to break all the time, or it could of been my flying.
You cant get away from it though it looks amazing! and does go really well. If i came across another one that was pristine then i would buy it and store it. I would drain the fuel from it and over inflate the tyres and leave it on blocks in a temperature controlled environment. But, that's not the point, you need to fly the arse off them and take the knocks. A good model for anyone's quiver. Docile, forgiving as long as its not got much body filler in it and flies beautifully.
Got to be the coolest 60" racer though, needs a redesign with 2 part wings, separate tail feathers and ding proof... not to much to ask Baudis?
This one i sold to Bobster whose flown it once and now has it rested in a temperature controlled environment on axle stands.
