Pike Precision F3B

Ive always wanted a Precision, as i am poor (have kids now)  buying a new was not an option, finding one second hand in the UK is rare thing. I spotted this for sale on rcgroups in the states. I posted the question "would you ship to the UK" expecting the usual.. fack off, just do one, your a scammer, idiot, hill billy. So was utterly surprised when the seller said 'Yea dude no probs' At this point i instantly thought, scammer, idiot, hill billy. Anyways i did a bit of rcgroups stalking and he sells stuff to hyperflight and sends stuff regularly to the uk so not an unknown figure.

Anyways he wanted  €1100 shipped which was around £750 at the time so i though what the hell and bought. After 4 agonizing weeks of delivery which i was convinced it had vanished and £xx import tax which i am internally grateful to the seller for his creative labeling it turned up!

There was a little damage to one wing, nothing serious and was aware prior to purchase. Also it needed a dam good polish!

Model came with MKS in the wings and fuz, spare pair of tail fins and 2kg of ballast. I have to say i am really pleased with it. Really pretty glider and weighing 2010g is really light. There is some flex in the wing skins compared to Daves F3F version and loaded up with ballast you can see the wing flex on tight turns.

So how does it fly... like a ballerina is the only way to describe it, whilst the Pitbull is a weapon in the air this is just light agile, loads of feedback and looks cool as feck, really nice fly, well its a Pike Precision. The trouble is i really want a PP2 now!

Really bright markings you can see from space!

Naked carbon porn... Samba really know how to do this

                                                        Anyone need some tail feathers?

                                                                Silver servo thingies...

Superb model for light to medium winds.

So would i buy second hand from the states again? well it was pretty stressful, need to know the seller and have a bit of faith in your fellow modeller as you cant send it back! ...... yes probably😓

Dave's Pike F3F, has to this point mostly avoided car filler... this is just a matter of time.
